Paul Rubin is a lifelong Manchester resident, attorney, and community leader with more than 30 years of legal experience serving families across Connecticut. A graduate of Trinity College and Western New England University School of Law, Paul opened his Manchester law practice in 1996 and has since represented clients in courts throughout the state. For nearly two decades, Paul has represented children and families in Juvenile Court, handling hundreds of cases involving child welfare, neglect and abuse, guardianship transfers, adoptions, and termination of parental rights. With roughly half of probate court matters involving sensitive family and guardianship issues, Paul’s extensive courtroom experience and deep knowledge of the law have prepared him to make thoughtful, decisive decisions that prioritize the well-being of children and families.

Paul’s commitment to the community extends far beyond the courtroom. He has spent nearly 40 years coaching youth basketball and baseball and has served for more than two decades on the board of Manchester Little League. Paul also serves as Vice Chairman of the Manchester Housing Authority, helping oversee hundreds of housing units and vouchers while working to expand affordable housing in the community. His dedication to children and families is deeply personal: as a licensed foster parent for over 10 years, Paul and his former wife welcomed approximately 50 children into their home and ultimately adopted their daughter Ashley through the Manchester Probate Court. These experiences—both professional and personal—have shaped Paul’s belief that the decisions made in courtrooms profoundly affect people’s lives. As Probate Court Judge, he is committed to bringing fairness, compassion, and experience to every case because outcomes truly matter.
